Beta Terms – PayAudit
Version: 2026-10-10
1. The beta
These Beta Terms apply to your organisation’s use of the PayAudit web application during its beta (“Beta”), in addition to the Terms of Service. They are accepted by ticking “I accept the Beta Terms (free, no warranty, assignable)” and bind the organisation for which you create or join a workspace. Provider: PayAudit (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@payaudit.eu.
2. Free of charge
- The Beta is free. No fee, deposit, pre-payment, donation, sponsorship, “supporter” tier or payment in kind is requested or accepted, and nothing is invoiced.
- Prices on the pricing page are planned prices, not offers. Your workspace will never be converted automatically to a paid plan: any future paid plan, offered by us or by a successor, would require your separate, explicit acceptance.
3. What you get
- Access to the features available during the Beta, which may change, be added or be removed.
- Beta limits per workspace: 5 seats, report snapshots of up to 500 employees, up to 150 jobs in the
job architecture, API and webhooks when available [TO CONFIRM: mirrors
packages/config/src/plans.tsdraft]. Limits may change with notice. - No service levels (SLA), no guaranteed availability, response time or support.
4. Your responsibilities
- Use the Beta in line with the Terms of Service and applicable law.
- Payroll files are processed in your browser; you are responsible for the data you load, for having a lawful basis to process it and for informing your workers.
- Results are computational aids, not legal advice (Terms of Service, section 7). Check them before relying on them, especially before submitting a report or answering a worker.
- Keep your own copy of reports you finalise (PDF/XLSX export).
5. Feedback
We may ask for feedback, short interviews or a non-binding letter of interest. Taking part is voluntary and is never rewarded with money or other consideration. We may use feedback freely.
6. No warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Beta is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results and compliance of your reports with any law. Section 13 of the Terms of Service (liability) applies.
7. Suspension and end of the Beta
- You may stop using the Beta and delete your workspace at any time.
- We may suspend or end the Beta, or your access, with at least [TO CONFIRM: 30] days’ notice by email, except for security reasons or breach of these Beta Terms.
- When the Beta ends, you will have [TO CONFIRM: 30] days to export your workspace data; afterwards it is deleted, including from backups within [TO CONFIRM] days.
8. Assignment
We may assign these Terms to a successor in connection with a sale of the product or its assets. We will inform you by email before the assignment takes effect. If you do not wish to continue with the successor, you may export your data and delete your workspace. You may not assign these Beta Terms without our consent.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Italian law; courts of [TO CONFIRM], without prejudice to mandatory rules.
10. Changes
We may update these Beta Terms with notice by email; continued use after the effective date means acceptance. Material changes to Annex A require your acceptance.
Annex A – Data processing terms (art. 28 GDPR) [TO CONFIRM by a privacy lawyer]
- Roles. For personal data stored in your workspace, your organisation is the controller and we are the processor.
- Subject matter and duration. Hosting and processing of workspace data to provide the Beta, for the duration of the Beta plus the export and deletion periods in section 7.
- Nature and purpose. Storage, display, export and deletion of job architecture, aggregate pay report snapshots, joint pay assessment records and art. 7 request logs; sending reminder emails to workspace members.
- Types of personal data. Workspace members’ account data (email, name, role); aggregate pay statistics that, for very small groups, may relate to identifiable workers; art. 7 request references and dates; free-text notes you enter. Not included by design: individual payroll records, which stay in your browser. Do not enter health data or other special categories in free-text fields.
- Categories of data subjects. Your workspace members; your workers (only through aggregates and request references); workers’ representatives you invite.
- Instructions. We process the data only on your documented instructions, which are these Beta Terms and your use of the application’s features, unless EU or Member State law requires otherwise.
- Confidentiality. Anyone authorised to process the data is bound by confidentiality.
- Security (art. 32). Row-level security separating workspaces; secret tokens stored as hashes; encryption in transit; access to production limited to us; audit log of sensitive actions; [TO CONFIRM: backup encryption, other measures].
- Sub-processors. You authorise these sub-processors: Cloudflare (hosting, network, email forwarding, anti-bot), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery). We will notify you by email of any intended change at least [TO CONFIRM: 15] days in advance; you may object and, if we cannot accommodate the objection, delete your workspace. We impose equivalent data protection obligations on sub-processors.
- International transfers. [TO CONFIRM: regions and safeguards; not verified in this draft.]
- Assistance. We help you, as far as possible, to answer data subjects’ requests and to meet your obligations under arts. 32–36 GDPR.
- Personal data breaches. We notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a breach affecting workspace data, with the information available.
- End of processing. At the end of the Beta, after the export period, we delete the data unless EU or Member State law requires storage.
- Audits. We make available the information necessary to demonstrate compliance with art. 28 and allow reasonable audits, at your cost and with reasonable notice [TO CONFIRM].
